LIVER CAKE


What you need:

  • A medium size baking tin ( I have used a silicone mould instead of lining tin with baking paper)
  • Food processor
  • 300g Lambs or Pigs liver
  • 1x crushed Garlic clove
  • 1x egg
  • 150g Wholemeal flour
  1. Preheat oven 180c, Place liver, garlic and egg in food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Slowly add flour (small amounts at a time)
  3. After all the flour is combined, the mixture should look like a brownie mixture.  If too thick add a little milk, if too runny, add a little more flour.
  4. Put mixture into the baking tin, and level the mixture.  Put into the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Insert a knife into the centre of liver cake, if knife comes away clean the liver cake is done.
  6. Once cooled, dice up treat into cubes and place into freezer bags and freeze, what's not being used.
  7. Defrost as needed, Do not re-freeze once defrosted and consume them within 3 days, whilst not frozen.

TOP TIP:

To make treat extra tasty, try adding 2x smoked bacon rashers in step 1.
